MSU College Advising Core (MSUCAC)
Pellston Public Schools is excited to announce a new relationship with the Michigan State University College Advising Core (MSUCAC). MSUCAC places recent MSU graduates with its partnering high schools, such as Pellston, to work alongside current school staff to build a more robust college-going culture within our local school community.
Our college advisor, Marcus Morman, will coordinate with Char-Em ISD K-12 Career/College Readiness Specialist Kelly Johnson to support students in finding their individual areas of interest beyond high school. Mr. Morman will help our students identify a path that works with the areas of interest for the student such a military, professional/technical certified programming, or academic degrees such as a Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a specific field. The advisor will work with our students on completion of college applications, financial aid paperwork (FAFSA), scholarship applications and link students and families to schools and college advisors in the area of interest.
Our goal is to have a working relationship with each of our incoming high school seniors. Every senior will have a face-to-face meeting with Mr. Morman to build a culture of knowledge in post-secondary experiences and opportunities for our students. Email Mr. Morman (email@example.com)
